The Horizon Pendant joins #8 turquoise and dark green Montana sapphire within an oval frame of solid 14k gold or sterling silver. Each stone forms a half-moon, divided by a fine line of gold that mirrors the horizon–a meeting point of color, texture, and light.

The #8 Turquoise offers a grounded, sky-like calm; the sapphire, a deep and vivid contrast. Two halves held together to form a modern heirloom, this inlay pendant captures balance in its purest form: two distinct materials, equal and in harmony.

This turquoise originates from the Number 8 Turquoise Mine in Nevada which was discovered in 1929 and mined up until 1976. Known for its golden spider web matrix and deep blue coloring, Number 8 is highly sought after and truly limited in its availability. Number 8 Turquoise is no longer mined, making it a sustainable option - utilizing materials already extracted from the ground is preferred to mining new material.

Montana sapphires are among the most sought-after American-mined gemstones, valued for their remarkable clarity, durability, and spectrum of natural color. Mined in three distinct regions in Montana, these sapphires are from the corundum family and register a 9 on the Mohs scale. Known for their range of hues, from deep blues to mossy greens and subtle bi-colours, each Montana sapphire carries a distinct signature of place. Responsibly sourced, every stone reflects the landscape it came from: enduring, vivid, and wholly unique.

We purchased this Rolo chain from a US-based business. While much of the metal in their products is recycled, they are unable to certify their chains as 100% recycled. While this is one link in our supply chain that needs improvement, we are also proud to support a US business and believe that our support will only help them achieve sustainable milestones.
